Videos have completely revolutionized how brands connect with customers both existing and new . It has changed the way a businesses sell, shop more online and customer service.
There are a variety of ways you can use videos in your business. On landing pages, social media posts, and blogs help to engage and gain more visitors. Video emails are becoming more popular within business marketing.

A video marketing strategy involves carefully selecting, developing, and placement of videos. These should be used within existing marketing campaigns to see the best results.
There are many different types of video content you can use depending on what you want to achieve i.e. more engagement, newsletter sign up, list building etc.

Here Are A Few Types Of Video Content You Should Be Using in your business.

Product Update Video: Keep your existing customer base up to date with your latest products or services. These are often prominent on websites and are generally 2-5minutes long.
Interviews: Interviews includes asking questions to a thought leader on a particular topic and posting its video online. Approx 2-5 mins long.
Explainer Videos: Explainer are educational videos that teach or answer the FAQs related to the product or service. Approx 2-5 mins long.
Testimonials: Testimonials are videos of happy customers of your business expressing their good experience with your business. This can help increase the confidence of prospective customers. Video length generally 5-10 mins
Event Videos: These videos cover an event either upcoming or highlights from past events. It is usually part of the event marketing strategy. Video length can be up to 5 minutes.
On boarding Video: When your lead becomes a customer, this is the first impression they'll get of your company. These help to show your customer all the product /service has to offer. again generally 5-10 minutes long.
How-To Videos: How to videos explain and teach your new or existing customers on how to use the product and any of its features. Video length can vary depending on product, generally 2-5 mins.
Vlogging: Vlogs are a video versions of the traditional blog. Vlogs can help a business engage customers and create a huge following on platforms such as YouTube. Vlogs are generally between 5- 10 minutes long.
Webinars: Webinars are generally live but can be recorded for future use in email marketing for those who missed the live steam. The host uses an internet connection to connect with the viewers and listeners worldwide via software such as 'gotowebinar' . Webinars talk about a specific topic the customer is interested in. Webinars can last between 1-2 hours.
Social Videos: These videos can drive traffic to your website via your social media profiles or live on your profiles to help build your business brand awareness. Ideally video length can be between 1 - 2 minutes long. However if you can get it down to 30 seconds or less is better for viewer engagement.
Social Media Teasers: These are excellent, making different types of videos to help promote your products or services are ideal to link to a sales pages or back to your website. It also allows you to split test which type of video works better on different social media platforms. Teasers should be 30 seconds or less.
Live Streams: Live streams are great for attracting customers who love your brand but aren't able to make it to your events. Live streams can last minutes or a few hours. It's best if you can make a schedule to highlight important parts or keynotes of the event.
Reviews: These are the reviews of the product or services posted by influencers and thought leaders, which result in altering the decisions of the viewers.
Behind The Scenes: These are a fantastic way to help you establish a closer relationship with the customers. It's a good way for your customers to experience what they usually don’t see in the standard advertisements or on the TV. These videos are generally up to 5-10 minutes long. It's a great way to encourage your customers or fans to engage with you. by asking questions and leaving comments on your YouTube channel.
Podcast Videos: An excellent way to get more mileage out of your existing content. Using a video of your podcast is an excellent way of promoting your podcast which can be posted to your social media profiles. Generally podcast run up to an hour but that's your choice.
Video Series: You can create your own TV show or doc-u-series!! Create episodes and let your customers binge watch your content. Move over Netflix. Video length is entirely up to you but generally I'd say between 30 to 45 minutes. You can get your fans eagerly awaiting the next episode creating shares and follows on social media platforms.
